The Euonymus japonicus is an evergreen shrub with oval shaped leaves. The leaves are bright golden yellow when this medium sized shrub is young and the leaves turn a beautiful yellow-green with a broad yellow margin when matured.
This shrub rarely flowers, but if it does, the flowers are small and green with pink fruits. The plant reaches an ultimate height of 400cm. The plant likes fill sun or partial shade and likes moist but well-drained soil.
This is an ideal coastal plant and will suit flower borders, hedging and screens.
